College Bound Plan of Study

The North Dakota Center for Distance Education recommends the following schedule of study for students who plan to attend a four-year college or university.

These recommendations are based on North Dakota University System requirements, but also include the recommendation that students take two years of a world language.

The North Dakota University System recommends that future university students take one high school math course each year, including advanced algebra and take at least two foreign language courses, which may include American Sign Language or Native American Languages.

If you intend to apply for the North Dakota Academic Scholarship you will want to be sure the electives you choose meet requirements for each scholarship.

NDCDE also offers dual credit courses for interested student who meet entrance requirements.

This is a suggested plan of study, and students do have some choices within the required subject areas and electives.

If you have questions about this plan of study, please contact Jocelyn Kolle at 701-630-1885 or by selecting Guidance and Counseling on our Contact NDCDE Staff Form.
