DPI best practice is that a North Dakota district accept a completed NDCDE course regardless of who paid for it, transcribe and apply the course to graduation requirements using the MIS03 code, and establish a local policy identifying whether the NDCDE percentage or NDCDE letter grade will be used as the local grade. As NDCDE transitions to competency-based education, districts should also review standards-proficiency information provided with course completion records.
