Limited Seating Available — Public and Media Invited to RSVP by June 20

BISMARCK, ND — The North Dakota Center for Distance Education (NDCDE) will commemorate its 90th anniversary and honor its 2025 graduates during a joint celebration on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck. The event will bring together students, families, alumni, educators, and state leaders for an afternoon and evening of recognition and reflection. Seating is limited, and advance RSVPs are required to attend. 
The Graduation Ceremony will begin at 3:30 p.m. and feature Lieutenant Governor Michelle Strinden as the commencement speaker. That evening, the 90th Anniversary Gala Program will include keynote remarks from State Superintendent Kirsten Baesler and two graduating students who have successfully pursued their professional racing careers while completing their education through NDCDE. 
Guests will also enjoy a reception, a dessert social, and a curated archive display showcasing the organization’s nine decades of service to North Dakota learners. A newly produced video chronicling NDCDE’s history will premiere during the Gala.

Event Schedule

  • 3:00–3:30 PM – Student Check-In and Pictures
  • 3:30–5:00 PM – Graduation Ceremony
  • 5:00–5:30 PM – Graduation Reception
  • 6:30–7:30 PM – 90th Anniversary Gala Program
  • 7:30–8:30 PM – Dessert Social and Archive Display Viewing
